(Licenses, degrees held, related experience): Marketing degree or related field and three or more years related sales experience preferred.  Candidate must be persuasive and have excellent oral and written communication skills.  Knowledge of territory and strong community involvement with area organizations preferred. Mobile Driver/Historian

Hours:

Full Time  (Part time may be considered)

Variable days, shifts and hours. Generally, work hours fall between the hours of 4:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Normal shifts are 8 to 10 hours. Must be available to work 3 out of 4 Saturdays and 2 out of every 4 Sundays.

Travel maybe required to other Donor Services Centers                

Job Requirements:

Will be responsible for driving the mobile vehicles to and from mobile blood drives and the safety of all passengers.  Will load/unload supplies and equipment before and after the drive, seal units of blood, and prepare units of blood for transportation and storage and also perform donor history & physical exams as required in accordance with SOP.    

Special Requirements:

(Licenses, degrees held, related experience): Must have valid Illinois Commercial Driver’s License and good driving record with at least 3 years of driving experience.  A high school diploma or equivalent is required.  Must possess excellent customer service skills and be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted following established lifting and carrying safety procedures.

Processes phone orders, labels blood components as ordered, prepares/packs product for delivery, performs final audits on product and documents all product orders and deliveries as specified in the Standard Operating Procedures and departmental procedures. Responsible for managing blood inventory levels by minimizing out dates and dispatching and routing Distribution Drivers.

Special Requirements:

(Licenses, degrees held, related experience): High school diploma or the equivalent, some college preferred and/or related experience. One to six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must meet IEMA/NRC criteria for ‘trustworthy and reliable’ in order to operate the Blood Irradiator.
